On March 11, 2024, the 29th Ukrainian Antarctic Expedition commenced its work, as reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Our colleague, Sergii Kadurin, Head of the Department of Marine Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, and Paleontology, holding a PhD in Geological Sciences degree and serving as an Associate Professor, has joined the expedition bound for the Akademik Vernadsky station.
The expedition's research agenda encompasses various activities, including a geological survey within the vicinity of the Vernadsky Antarctic station and the adjoining territory of the Antarctic Peninsula. The outcomes of this endeavor will contribute to the examination of spatial and facies variations in bottom sediments.
